Saving national forests

Thanks to our federation’s work, more than 1.5 million citizens nationwide called on the Clinton administration to protect pristine areas in our national forests, resulting in the Roadless Rule. When the Bush administration attempted to overturn the rule, we worked with governors in seven states to petition to protect their forests.

12,000 Citizens call for passage of Clean Energy Jobs Act 2/15/2010

12,000 Wisconsinites have signed a postcard to their legislators in support of the Clean Energy Jobs Act. The announcement comes three weeks after four hundred citizens visited the Capitol at the annual conservation lobby day, indicating a groundswell of support for the bill.
