Environmental Campaign Organizer

Make the Environment a Key Issue during Election 2008 and Beyond!

Thanks to broad public support and hard work by environmental and public health groups, America has made great progress over the last 40 years addressing some of our worst environmental problems. The air and water are cleaner and we’ve protected some of our most treasured places from exploitation and development.

But the last eight years have put the environment in jeopardy. Key federal protections have been rolled back, and the failure of decision-makers in Washington D.C. to address the country’s addiction to oil and fossil fuels has led us to the brink of a global disaster.

The vast majority of Americans want our leaders to take on global warming, build the nation’s renewable energy capacity, secure clean air and clean water, and protect the nation’s unspoiled places. We need to make sure that the current and future Presidents and Congress hear that message.
