Ask your friends to help save our lakes
Hundreds of Wisconsinites have signed our petition to protect our lakes by banning phosphorus in fertilizer. The Legislature has responded to our call for action by making this bill the first environmental issue to get a public hearing this year.
The next step is to make sure the Legislature votes to make the phosphorus ban the first environmental victory of 2009. We want to get at least 1,000 signatures to send a strong message to protect our lakes.
Help spread the word by asking your friends and family to sign the petition.

citizens voicing their loud and consistent support, the Legislature approved

Wisconsin Environment Director, Dan Kohler, joined Gov. Doyle on the shore
of Lake Michigan as he signed the bill into law. Read more.
