Support the Stewardship Fund

Tell your representatives to support the Stewardship Fund in the Wisconsin budget.

Gov. Jim Doyle set aside a historic level of funding for Wisconsin’s Knowles-Nelson Stewardship program as part of his 2007-09 Budget, thereby ensuring that critical natural areas across Wisconsin are protected for their recreational opportunities, wildlife habitat, and to preserve water quality in Wisconsin.

Now our Legislature needs to act to make sure that the funds are in place to keep our state's remaining natural areas are kept off limits to mining, drilling, logging and pollution.
